Rate Limits
Guidelines for managing platform usage thresholds and quotas.
Overview
To keep the platform fast and fair for everyone, Opsfly caps how many messages can be processed within short windows of time (per minute, per hour, and per day). These caps are set automatically based on your Tier, so most businesses never notice them during normal use.
These caps apply across everything that consumes credit — conversations with Dada or VAI, and every Automation talking to your customers on channels like WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram.
What happens if a limit is reached
If a limit is hit, the extra messages in that moment are simply held back rather than processed — nothing breaks, and no data is lost. The limit automatically resets after a short time (within a minute, an hour, or a day, depending on which cap was reached), and things go back to normal on their own.
Very unusually long messages may also be declined outright — this protects against accidental or malicious oversized input rather than a normal customer message.
:::tip If your business expects a spike in traffic (a promotion, a big campaign) or you're consistently hitting limits during normal operation, reach out through Support and we can raise your limits. :::
Checking your usage
You can track your credit usage anytime from the Usage page in the Console App, broken down by where it's being spent — Automations, Connectors, VAI, and Opspilot.
