Connect WhatsApp Business to your business.
Overview
The WhatsApp connector links your WhatsApp Business account to Opsfly so your Agents and Autotasks can read and reply to customer messages automatically.
Once connected, incoming WhatsApp messages reach Opsfly the moment a customer sends them — there's no delay and nothing to refresh.
What you can do with it
- Reply to customer messages with text, images, audio, video, documents, or stickers
- Send quick-reply buttons or a scrollable list of options (e.g. "Choose a size")
- Send a button that opens a link (e.g. a payment page or order tracking page)
- Share your store location as a map pin
- React to a customer's message with an emoji
- Share contact cards
- Mark messages as read
What you'll need
Before connecting, get the following from your Meta Business account (Meta Business Manager → WhatsApp settings):
- Access token — authorizes Opsfly to send and receive messages on your behalf
- Phone number ID — identifies which WhatsApp Business number to connect
- App secret — used to verify that messages are really coming from Meta
If you don't have these yet, your Meta Business Manager admin can generate them from the WhatsApp API setup page.
Connect WhatsApp
- Go to Connectors in the side menu.
- Click Add, then choose WhatsApp.
- Enter your Access token, Phone number ID, and App secret.
- Click Test connection to confirm the details are correct.
- Click Save Connector.
Good to know
:::warning WhatsApp only allows free-form replies within 24 hours of a customer's last message. After that window closes, you can only reach them again using a pre-approved message template — a normal reply will fail. Ask your Meta Business Manager admin about setting up templates for order confirmations, shipping updates, or reminders that need to go out after the window closes. :::
